Basketball Recap: Trimble Tech Comes Up Short

Trimble Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the South Hills Scorpions and fell 71-36. The Bulldogs lost against the Scorpions in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 50-45 score last time.

Ra?Monce Spriggins went supernova for South Hills, going 9 of 17 on his way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Sims, who posted nine points and three steals.

Trimble Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for South Hills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-13.

Trimble Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson at 11:30 a.m. on December 30th. As for South Hills, they will take on Colleyville Heritage in a tournament on Thursday. South Hills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
