Marion has gone a perfect 3-0 against Florence recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. Marion has given up an average of 31.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Marion ended up a good deal behind Llano and lost 44-27. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 285th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kade Pape, who threw for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Marion also got a significant boost from Tanner Otis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

Even if they lost, Marion's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Cayden Schultze with three. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven.

They were dealt a 55-8 defeat at the hands of Randolph. On the bright side, the eight- point effort marked the Buffaloes' highest-scoring contest to date.

Everything came up roses for Marion against Florence when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
