Football Recap: Beaver Dam Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Daniel Ceja and Wyett Avila

After soaring to 44 points the game before, Beaver Dam was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a 20-6 bruising from the Laughlin Cougars. If the Diamondback were looking for revenge after losing 46-12 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wyett Avila and Daniel Ceja certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Avila picked up 92 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Ceja rushed for 54 yards on only six carries.

Brayden Whitton had a dynamite game For Laughlin., rushing for 173 yards. Those 173 rushing yards gave Whitton a new career-high. Anthony Celi-Brookins was in the mix too, providing Laughlin with two scores.

Beaver Dam's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Laughlin, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
