Bogue Chitto came tearing into Friday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Loyd Star Hornets as they made off with a 63-42 win. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Hornets are ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bogue Chitto pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. As for Loyd Star, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bobcats take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bogue Chitto is facing Raleigh at the right time seeing as Raleigh is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Loyd Star does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
