Volleyball Game Preview: Albertville Aggies vs. St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats

The Albertville Aggies will be taking part in a tournament against the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Albertville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Albertville can't be too worried about heading out to take on St. Luke's Episcopal: they just beat Plainview at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Aggies walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bears on Tuesday.

Albertville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

St. Luke's Episcopal not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0). They blew past UMS-Wright Prep 3-0.

One reason for the win was St. Luke's Episcopal's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 25-12.

Albertville's record is now 25-14. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, their record now sits at 22-12.

Albertville couldn't quite get it done against St. Luke's Episcopal in their previous matchup back in October of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
