Basketball Recap: Homestead Find Success

Homestead picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 67-60 win over the Artesia Pioneers.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Stewart, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Stewart is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Atkins, who posted 17 points.

The victory got Homestead back to even at 3-3. As for Artesia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Homestead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-47 win against Silver Creek on the 13th. As for Artesia, they have also already played their next game, a 53-37 victory against Prospect on the 13th.
