South Stanly took a nine-run  loss the last time they faced off against Union Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls skirted past the Cardinals  3-2. The  victory was familiar territory for the Rowdy Rebel Bulls, who have now won four  matches in a row.
 Kinsley Tyson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Coco Tyson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI.
The  win  got South Stanly back to even at 12-12. As for Union Academy, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 21-1.
