Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

St. Mary's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Gehlen Catholic Jays by a score of 45-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-48 back in December of 2024.

St. Mary's is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Gehlen Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

St. Mary's will take on Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Gehlen Catholic, they will challenge South O'Brien at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Gehlen Catholic is facing South O'Brien at the right time seeing as South O'Brien is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
