Football Recap: Crawford County Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Crawford County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 36-20 fall against the Pike County Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 34-20 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Although Crawford County took the loss, they still got scores from Jamahl Willis, Camron Harvey, and Perce Belvin.

Pike County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden O'Connell, who threw for 240 yards and five TDs. Tucker Saporita did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 81 receiving yards.

Crawford County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 28-7 win against Georgia Military College on the 22nd. As for Pike County, they have also already played their next contest, a 28-0 loss against Haralson County on the 22nd.
