Basketball Game Preview: Clovis North Broncos vs. Clovis West Golden Eagles

Clovis North hasn't had much luck against Clovis West recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Clovis North Broncos will be playing at home against the Clovis West Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Clovis North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Clovis West likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Clovis North came up short against Buchanan and fell 66-58.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clovis West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They breezed by Clovis to the tune of 87-54 on Tuesday. With the Golden Eagles ahead 54-22 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Clovis North better keep an eye on Dj Stickman. He was instrumental in Clovis West's win, dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 15 boards, and 11 assists. The contest was Stickman's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Kellogg, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.

Clovis West was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Clovis West's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Clovis North, their defeat ended an 18-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-5.

Clovis North and Clovis West were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but Clovis North came up empty-handed after a 60-59 loss.
