Softball Recap: Weatherly Comes Up Short

Weatherly extended their losing streak to ten on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-12 in the process. They came up short against the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders, falling 25-10. Even if Weatherly couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-10 record. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Our Lady of Lourdes Regional's part, they got a massive performance out of Arianna Adams, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those five hits gave Adams a new career-high. Reaghan Fuller was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weatherly will challenge Minersville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they will take on Nativity BVM at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
