Baseball Recap: Bedford Has No Trouble Against Ypsilanti

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Bedford brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the Ypsilanti Grizzlies 23-1 on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Kicking Mules in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won four in a row.

Nick Coberley made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Coberley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Bedford got a massive performance out of Keagen Dixon, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave Dixon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade McNamara, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Bedford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bedford's record is now 9-6. As for Ypsilanti, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
