Jenkins is 1-8 against Southeast Bulloch since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Jenkins Warriors will challenge the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. Jenkins is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Jenkins took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Liberty County by a score of 6-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Gracin Bote was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings every time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Sebella Higgins was incredible, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Akeelah Younger, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Southeast Bulloch faced Wayne County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Southeast Bulloch came up short against Wayne County, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, Southeast Bulloch couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jenkins' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Southeast Bulloch, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1.
