Baseball Recap: Spotswood Comes Up Short

Spotswood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-4 to the St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Tuesday.

Spotswood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Henits, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Spotswood now has a losing record of 4-5. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Spotswood is taking a road trip to square off against Middlesex at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Perth Amboy at 11:00 a.m.
