Volleyball Recap: Severance Takes a Loss

Severance suffered their biggest defeat since October 16th on Thursday. They came up short against the Berthoud Spartans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.

Isla Jacobo paced Severance's offense, picking up six kills. Jacobo were helped by Sophia Atkinson and Dalaynie Loftin, who contributed eight assists each. Finally, Anna Cooper kept Severance's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Severance's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Berthoud, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Severance nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
