Soccer Recap: South Side Takes a Loss

South Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to Sewickley Academy. While losing is never fun, South Side can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 437th, while Sewickley Academy are ranked 165th).

South Side's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Sewickley Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Side will challenge rival Freedom Area at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sewickley Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Neshannock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
