Football Game Preview: Marengo Indians vs. Richmond-Burton Rockets + Official Tickets

Marengo hasn't had much luck against Richmond-Burton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Indians will face off against the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Marengo's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harvard 49-0. The Indians pushed the score to 42-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hornets had no chance of recovering from.

Marengo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Vandello, who threw for 156 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes.

Meanwhile, Richmond-Burton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Woodstock North as they made off with a 21-0 win. The 21-point effort marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Marengo's record is now 6-1. As for Richmond-Burton, their record now sits at 7-0.

Marengo lost to Richmond-Burton on the road by a decisive 35-21 margin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
