Ludlowe had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 10-5-1 to make it four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Staples Wreckers. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wreckers, too.

As for Staples, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since May 13, 2025.

For Staples' part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Schwartz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ludlowe will take on rival Stamford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Staples is set to challenge their familiar foe Trumbull at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
