Baseball Recap: Chapman Takes a Loss

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wamego Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-6 on Tuesday.

Jed Moody was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Cooper Lewis was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Chapman's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Wamego, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Chapman nor Wamego have any future games scheduled.
