Preview: Atlantic Shores Christian vs. North Cross
North Cross have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Atlantic Shores Christian at Homecoming at 3:30 PM. North Cross have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
North Cross might be getting used to good results now that the squad have four wins in a row. They skirted past Blue Ridge 28-26. Junior Zae Baines was the offensive standout of the match for North Cross, as he caught passes for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns. Baines has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Atlantic Shores Christian, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 7-37 walloping at Northampton's hands.
North Cross's win lifted them to 4-2 while Atlantic Shores Christian's loss dropped them down to 2-5. We'll find out if North Cross can add another positive mark to their record or if Atlantic Shores Christian can shake off the loss and take the spring out of North Cross's step.
