St. John Paul II Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Chaminade-Madonna since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. St. John Paul II Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Boca Raton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. St. John Paul II Academy never let West Boca Raton get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

St. John Paul II Academy got a great performance from Jack Wilhoit as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Wilhoit has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tommy Ciaccio, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Emmanuel Lantigua also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chaminade-Madonna, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Boca Raton on Tuesday.

John Scott Bishop and Nolan Loonam did most of the damage at the plate: Bishop scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Loonam scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jon Gourrier, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Chaminade-Madonna's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for St. John Paul II Academy, their record is now 12-1-1.

St. John Paul II Academy skirted past Chaminade-Madonna 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. John Paul II Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
