Softball Game Preview: Grant County Braves vs. Pendleton County Wildcats

The Grant County Braves will head out on the road to take on the Pendleton County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grant County was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Henry Clay on Saturday. The Braves blew past the Blue Devils 11-1.

Meanwhile, Pendleton County posted their closest win since April 22nd on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Mason County. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Grant County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10-1. As for Pendleton County, their record is now 9-11.

Grant County couldn't quite get it done against Pendleton County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
