Baseball Recap: Allegany-Limestone Takes a Loss

Allegany-Limestone managed to slip by Olean the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Gators lost 12-2 to the Huskies on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Gators couldn't push the score so high this time.

Allegany-Limestone dropped their record down to 6-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Olean, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

When Allegany-Limestone and Olean next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Gators will try to stop Genesee Valley's four-game winning streak when they meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Olean will face off against Dunkirk and their three-game winning streak at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 4.1, the Marauders 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
