The Westminster Christian Academy Chargers made easy work of the Gueydan Bears on Thursday and carried off an 11-1 win. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.
Mia Sisco made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She also allowed three hits, marking her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Audrey Ledoux and Emma Tanner did most of the damage at the plate: Ledoux scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Tanner scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Tanner snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Chloe Sarver, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
The victory made it two in a row for Westminster Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
