Volleyball Recap: Shelby Addario and Chloe Mcgillivray Secure Win for Essex Tech

Essex Tech won the last time they faced Georgetown and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hawks put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Leading Essex Tech to victory were Chloe McGillivray and Shelby Addario. McGillivray had four digs and four aces, while Addario had five aces and two assists. Those four aces gave McGillivray a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Essex Tech was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Essex Tech now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Georgetown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Coming up, Essex Tech will be playing at home against Lowell Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown has already played their next matchup (against North Reading), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
