Softball Recap: Concord Gets the Win

While Concord's win against Robinson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spiders skirted past the Bulldogs 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spiders have posted since March 20th.

Anamaria Shuman was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

Concord's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for Robinson, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coincidentally, Concord and Robinson will both be playing Carson the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Spiders will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
