Softball Recap: Quincy Notre Dame Victorious

Quincy Notre Dame had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Dubuque Warriors on Friday, sneaking past 3-2.

Caitlin Bunte spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 19 Ks.

Quincy Notre Dame has already played their next match, an 18-3 win against Genoa-Kingston on the 21st. As for East Dubuque, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-6 defeat against Marquette on the 22nd.
