The Broncs head into 2017 as the two-time defending 4A champions and looking to add a 26th title.

Wyoming commit Blayne Baker is an imposing force (6-foot-5, 250 pounds) for Sheridan at offensive tackle and defensive end. Also returning on the both sides of the line is rising senior Max Myers.

Kyle Custis returns for his senior year after a breakout season as a junior and rising junior Parker Christensen joins Custis in the backfield. Sheridan must find a replacement for graduated quarterback Andrew Boedecker.

Head coach: McKay Young

Back-to-back champions, the Braves will hit 2017 with momentum, a returning senior quarterback and three All-State returners.

Payton Erickson is back for his senior year after the signal caller led Star Valley to the 3A title. He's joined in the backfield by senior running back Josh Dawson, who broke a 76-yard run for a score on the first play in last season's title game.

Center/defensive tackle Cosmo Morgan should anchor the lines and wideout Noah Hutchinson is an All-State target for Erickson.

3. Natrona County (Casper)
2016 record: 6-6
Head coach: Steve Harshman

Just 6-6 last season, but the No.5 playoff seed pulled off a couple of upsets to reach the state title game.

The junior-heavy squad now has experience and a taste of what it takes.

Rising senior quarterback Jesse Harshman returns and surrounds himself with four returning All-State players, including wide receivers Riley Shepperson and Maeson Gallegos.

Daniel Slack is back at middle linebacker and center and Brett Brenton returns at running back.

4. Torrington
2016 record: 6-4
Head coach: Mark Lenhardt

The Trailblazers lost offensive guard Logan Harris to graduation, but return seven all-conference selections.

Guard Jake Wamboldt (6-2, 285 pounds) will be the anchor of the offensive line for rising senior quarterback Breyden Bivens.

Bivens will have all-conference wideouts Nathan Stitt and Bo Moorehouse to throw to along with tight end Ryan Johnson, who also will anchor the linebacking corps.

The defending 2A champion move down to 1A and return three All-State players.

The Rams are young on the line, but anchored by big fella Seth Mullinax (6-4, 260), an All-State guard and nose guard.

Kade Eisele returns at running back and linebacker after an All-State year as a sophomore. Rising junior Kade VanDyken, the third All-State selection, returns for his junior year at wideout.

The Rams must replace graduated QB Tanner Warder.
