Softball Recap: Perkins Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Perkins's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Clyde Fliers on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Perkins' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Clyde, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Perkins will head out to square off against Columbian at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Clyde, they will host Willard at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Fliers are facing the Crimson Flashes at the right time seeing as the Crimson Flashes are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
