Richard waltzed into their game on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Loyola Bull Dogs by a score of 58-50. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Bull Dogs are ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Richard pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Loyola, they moved to 7-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Richard will host Cranbrook Kingswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Cranbrook Kingswood likes a good challenge. As for Loyola, they will square off against Lutheran North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
