Football Game Preview: Monomoy vs. Nantucket

After two weeks on the road, Nantucket is heading back home. On Saturday they take on Monomoy at 5:30 PM. The two teams have set a high bar for this matchup after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.

Nantucket were able to grind out a solid victory over West Bridgewater last Saturday, winning 35-22. The success made it back-to-back wins for Nantucket.

As for Monomoy, Monomoy had a rough outing against Blue Hills RVT two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Monomoy were fully in charge, breezing past Holbrook/Avon 50-12. Monomoy were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Nantucket simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Monomoy 61-12. Nantucket's win shoved Monomoy out of the playoffs, so expect the team will have a target on their back in this one.
