Conard fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Northwest Catholic on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 10-9. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Red Wolves' highest-scoring game to date.

Conard is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. As for Northwest Catholic, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conard will face off against Lewis Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Wolves are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Northwest Catholic, they will take on Bristol Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
