Soccer Recap: Clarksburg's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westview, Clarksburg was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers a 3-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rockets as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Clarksburg's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarksburg will welcome Adamsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarksburg will be up against Adamsville's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.75 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
