Basketball Game Preview: Motivation Jaguars vs. Academy at Palumbo Griffin

Motivation is 0-3 against Academy at Palumbo since January of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Motivation Jaguars will welcome the Academy at Palumbo Griffin at 3:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Motivation is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-28 heartbreaker at the hands of Science Leadership Academy. While the Jaguars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Science Leadership Academy 12-4 in the first quarter.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Joyce Cassell, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Academy at Palumbo didn't have quite enough to beat Abraham Lincoln on Monday and fell 47-45.

Motivation's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Academy at Palumbo, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Motivation might still be hurting after the 35-14 loss they got from Academy at Palumbo in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Motivation avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
