Baseball Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington lost against Summit on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bruins fell 5-1 to the SkyHawks. The Bruins' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Bloomington got a good showing from Jordan Castrejon, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Castrejon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bloomington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Bloomington's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Summit, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.
