If Liberty was riding high fresh off their 16-5 takedown of Apple Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Liberty fell just short of the Shadow Hills Knights by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Bison's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Janessa Guigliano was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Attiana Thompson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Shadow Hills, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Murrieta Valley on the 18th. As for Shadow Hills, they have also already played their next contest, a 24-0 win against Xavier Prep on the 14th.
