Basketball Game Preview: Espanola Valley Sundevils vs. Santa Fe Demons

The Espanola Valley Sundevils will head out on the road to square off against the Santa Fe Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Espanola Valley beat Grants 62-53. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sundevils.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Santa Fe ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Michael's, sneaking past 47-45. The Demons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Santa Fe has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Espanola Valley, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Espanola Valley strolled past Santa Fe in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-38. Will Espanola Valley repeat their success, or does Santa Fe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
