Southwest DeKalb has gone a perfect 10-0 against Clarkston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Angoras at 5:30 p.m. Southwest DeKalb is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.

Southwest DeKalb came out on top against Chamblee on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly eight runs.

Makayla Dixon made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since September 2nd.

In other batting news, Madelyn Flournoy was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailee Canty, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Southwest DeKalb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chamblee only posted an OBP of .304.

Clarkston played against Lithonia on Thursday and lost via forfeit.

Southwest DeKalb is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clarkston, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
