Soccer Game Preview: Port Angeles vs. Sequim

Port Angeles hasn't had much luck against Sequim recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Roughriders will be playing in front of their home fans against Wolves at 7:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Port Angeles came into their game last Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against North Kitsap, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Port Angeles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while North Kitsap are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Sequim was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 5-1 to North Kitsap. The loss continues a trend for Sequim in their meetings with North Kitsap: they've now lost four in a row.

Port Angeles' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Sequim, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
