Basketball Game Preview: University Bulldogs vs. D'Evelyn Jaguars

The University Bulldogs and the D'Evelyn Jaguars will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully D'Evelyn likes a good challenge.

University is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Denver West just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took an 84-65 bruising from the Cowboys.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from John Elbe, who posted 20 points. Coehn Nitzel was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Meanwhile, D'Evelyn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Bear Creek, falling 67-45.

D'Evelyn's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
