Basketball Recap: Founders Classical Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Founders Classical Academy hadn't done well against GV Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Founders Classical Academy Centurions skirted past the GV Christian Guardians 50-47. For the Centurions, this counts as revenge for the 56-53 win the Guardians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Adam Bruning was his usual excellent self, putting up 22 points. Nick Mazza was another key player, earning ten points.

GV Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Wake Rolwing, who went 5 of 6 en route to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Madsen, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Founders Classical Academy pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for GV Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Founders Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-35 win against Indian Springs on the 16th. GV Christian has also already played their next match, a 69-43 victory against Awaken Christian on the 17th.
