            Baseball Recap: Sanford Spartans vs. Noble Knights        
        
		
        
        
            For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Sanford and Noble meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Thursday. The Spartans took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by  exactly three  runs.
 Sanford saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Matthew Hebert, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run.
Sanford has also traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record  this season. That  patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Noble, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Meanwhile, Noble is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Falmouth  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
