Baseball Game Preview: Prairie du Chien Blackhawks vs. Platteville Hillmen

The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Platteville Hillmen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie du Chien has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Prairie du Chien is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fennimore just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 15-3 to the Golden Eagles.

Prairie du Chien saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abe Amundson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Amundson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Brennan Koecke also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Platteville didn't have quite enough to beat Bangor on Saturday and fell 4-2.

Prairie du Chien now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Platteville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Prairie du Chien suffered a grim 12-3 defeat to Platteville in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Blackhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
