Basketball Recap: Leyden Comes Up Short

Leyden lost against Buffalo Grove back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leyden Eagles lost to the Buffalo Grove Bison at home by a 79-61 margin.

Leyden has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Buffalo Grove, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-18.

Leyden and Buffalo Grove could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Leyden (ranked 543rd) will meet Proviso East (ranked 167th) at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Buffalo Grove will face off against Rolling Meadows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 332 places (352 vs. 20).
