Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Golden Eagles vs. W.E.B. DuBois Academy Lions

The Shawnee Golden Eagles and the W.E.B. DuBois Academy Lions will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Shawnee duked it out withAtherton on Thursday. Shawnee was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Atherton. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, W.E.B. DuBois Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Butler on Thursday and fell 73-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (68), the Lions still had to take the loss.

W.E.B. DuBois Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
