Shelby Valley took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Letcher County Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Cougars back in April, they had to take a 12-6 loss.

Shelby Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-17 record this season. As for Letcher County Central, they dropped their record down to 17-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
