Basketball Recap: Rise University Prep Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Rise University Prep Panthers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-50 to the Capuchino Mustangs. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Dominic Vanden Berghe, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds for Capuchino. The contest was Vanden Berghe's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Estrella, who posted six points and five assists.

Rise University Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Capuchino, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Rise University Prep will head out to challenge Pinewood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Capuchino, they will take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
