Haysville Campus has enjoyed a six-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Derby Panthers at 4:00 p.m. in Tuesday's first game.
Last Friday, Haysville Campus suffered a rough 19-3 defeat at the hands of Hutchinson.
Meanwhile, Derby had just enough and edged Eisenhower out 4-3 in Friday's second game. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Derby.
Hudson Halstead made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Halstead was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Halstead wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Rowan Foster, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Foster is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played.
Haysville Campus' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Derby, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
