The San Tan Foothills Sabercats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Palo Verde, posting a 66-17 victory on the road. For San Tan Foothills, this counts as revenge for the 38-27 loss Palo Verde walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
It was another big night for Aj Williams, who scored 20 points along with seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Cienna Witcher, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
San Tan Foothills' victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Palo Verde, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
San Tan Foothills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Northland Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Northland Prep Academy is ranked 185th, while San Tan Foothills is ranked 195th). As for Palo Verde, they will head out on the road to face off against Sunnyside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sunnyside's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
