Baseball Recap: Plattsburg Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Plattsburg took on St. Joseph Christian on Tuesday. The Tigers took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 last Tuesday.

Plattsburg has also been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 18 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-21 record this season. As for St. Joseph Christian, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Plattsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Polo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.3, the Panthers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
